Our Technical Operations team comprises aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams, ensuring they’re well-equipped and ready to transport our customers to their desired destinations. Key Responsibilities:

As a Planning Specialist – Project Control, you will work cross-functionally with teams in Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain to develop and execute strategic plans for engineering-driven maintenance projects. Your ability to combine technical knowledge with data-driven insights will be essential in driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory and reliability goals are met, and enabling on-time project delivery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans for engineering maintenance initiatives
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to coordinate the execution of maintenance projects
  • Track key metrics and milestones to ensure timely project completion and performance
  • Conduct data mining, modeling, and visualization to uncover insights and drive decision-making
  • Present analytical findings to stakeholders and recommend strategies to enhance project outcomes
  • Perform cost-benefit and impact analyses to inform planning and prioritization decisions
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across project planning processes

Location & Schedule: This role is based at the CSC – Willis Tower in Chicago, IL, and follows a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in-office (subject to change)

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business, or Aviation
  • 3+ years of experience in project planning, strategy, or a similar role
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, or maintenance programs
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quantitative modeling (statistical, optimization, simulation, Excel-based modeling, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Creative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of the role
  • Successful completion of the interview process

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced coursework in Engineering, Math, or Statistics

Project Management (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification

Experience in airline planning or technical operations analysis

Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI


The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
