Job Title: Industrial Engineering Technician
| Position Summary Supports the design and implementation of projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency, safety, and quality. Collaborating closely with Industrial Engineers and production teams, contributes to various engineering projects aimed at streamlining operations. Performs entry level technician functions through moderate understanding of general aspects of the job while learning advanced aspects of project requirements. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Route tooling and material shadowboarding. Assist Industrial Engineers in the design and implementation of improved manufacturing methods and processes. Conduct time studies and work measurements to establish standard operating procedures and set benchspans for production tasks. Contribute to cost-saving efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all employees. Perform other related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.May lead continuous improvement projects and be required to train and assist other employees, along with providing cross-functional project management support. |
Minimum Position Qualifications
| To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. An Associates Degree in Engineering is preferred. Experience 0-2 years of manufacturing or trade experience. A basic understanding of industrial equipment, machinery operations, and office literacy is required to perform the duties of this position. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams, industry partners, and customers. |

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity. Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members, and regulatory agency representatives. Travel and overtime are required when necessary. |
