Morson Talent are recruiting a Quality Engineer for our Aerospace and Defence client based in Barrow-in-Furness. Ideal candidate will have experience in building and construction, our client is constructing a new facility on site.

RATE - 35.00 + Holiday Pay 5.09 PAYE / 47.12 Umbrella PER HOUR

37 Hours Per week

Role Description:

The role holder:
•    The role of the Quality Engineer IV is to provide specialist guidance and support to the Quality Function whilst ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System
•    A competent Quality professional capable of managing own tasks, delivering results, anticipating and escalating problem areas
•    Conducts specialist Quality activities in accordance with relevant processes and procedures  
•    Subject Matter Expert (SME) in own specialist area, leading improvement initiatives across the across the Business Unit to drive Quality performance
•    Domain areas include, but are not limited to: Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Improvements, Quality Improvements, Quality Engineering, Quality Reporting, Quality Systems, Quality Records, Strategic Manufacturing, Field Engineers, Receipt Inspection, Site Redevelopment Programme   

Organisation Chart:

•    No line management responsibility
•    The role will likely report into a Quality Lead I, Quality Lead II or a Quality Manager

Knowledge:

• Broad Understanding of Quality tools & techniques
• Understanding of Quality improvement techniques
• Knowledge of Business Systems (Share point & CEMAR)
• Knowledge of RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects)
• Knowledge of industry Standards
• Knowledge of NEC Contracts
• Knowledge of ISO:9001
• Experience working within a construction environment
• Wide stakeholder management experience

Qualifications:

•    HNC or degree qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience 
•    Be a quality professional, at least lead auditor status or equivalent experience
