Aircraft A&P Mechanic – Line & Hangar Maintenance (Contract-to-Hire)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated A&P Mechanic to join our maintenance team supporting Saab 2000 and ATR series aircraft. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity designed for aviation professionals looking to build a long-term career with growth potential in a stable and safety-driven environment.
In this role, you will perform a combination of line maintenance and hangar (heavy) maintenance, ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
- Conduct line maintenance troubleshooting and corrective actions to support daily flight operations
- Execute hangar maintenance tasks, including component changes, system checks, and heavy maintenance activities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and implement effective solutions
- Complete accurate documentation of all maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness and readiness through thorough pre- and post-maintenance checks
- Collaborate with team members, leads, and management to meet operational and safety goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Qualifications- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License – Required
- Minimum 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with turboprop aircraft
- Hands-on experience with Saab 2000 and/or Saab 340 aircraft
- Familiarity with ATR 42 / ATR 72 aircraft
- Experience with additional platforms such as Dash 8 / Q400, Cessna Caravan, Hawker, and other general aviation aircraft
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
