Key Responsibilities:

• You will participate in the product development and production support phases and will be a coach and mentor to less experienced engineers.
• Lead for the Engine and Power Systems Technical Validation group supporting our existing products and Next Generation Turbofan.
• Technical validator of aerospace engineering drawings ensuring full definition and adherence to company and industry standards.
• Review engineering drawings for correct usage of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to meet design intent.
• Review engineering designs for proper usage of model-based practices and standards.
• Model validation.
• Assess designs for dimensional accuracy, manufacturability and cost.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with experience and deep understanding of Engineering drawings using ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and model-based engineering.
• Experience and understanding of gas turbine engine components.
• Proven application of ASME drawing standards including ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with Honeywell drawing/model interpretation specifications such as HGS1003, SC7000, SC6500 and SC6000.
• Experience with Honeywell Drawing Requirements Manual (DRM) and Aerospace Procedures.
• Deep understanding of engineering drawings/models interpretation, preparation, and review.
• Experience in Detailed Design phase.
• Experience with Legacy Drawings and specifications.
• Talent to act as a mentor and coach.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing individuals with experience leading small teams.
