Summary:
We are seeking experienced Quality Inspectors for either contract-to-hire or direct hire opportunities in a fast-paced aerospace environment supporting both commercial and military programs. This role involves inspections of machined parts, mechanical assemblies, processed components, and purchased hardware, as well as support for lab functions such as Destructive Testing.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections.
Inspect machined parts, assemblies, processed parts, and hardware.
Verify part identification and configurations.
Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming products.
Interpret job routers and manufacturing orders.
Operate standard measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, height gages, bore gages, dial indicators).
Utilize GD&T principles for inspection.
Perform basic lab testing, including Destructive Testing and mechanical testing.
Interpret certifications and customer specifications.
Support material recertification and expired material disposal.
Monitor lab standards and shelf-life programs.
Maintain clean and organized work areas in line with 6S initiatives.
Provide cross-functional support within the Quality department as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of Quality Inspection experience in an aerospace environment.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T and precision measuring tools.
Ability to read prints and apply shop math.
Attention to detail, time management, and a high degree of reliability.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Frequent standing and reaching.
Visual acuity for close work, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Skills
Experience with FARO Arm or CMM.
Experience operating Instron testing equipment.
