Job Title: Director, Marketing and Communications | Position Summary: The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall spaneting strategy to strengthen brand positioning, support sales initiatives, and expand spanet share across Piper’s product portfolio. This role leads corporate spaneting efforts including brand management, communications, digital spaneting, events, and product promotion while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The Director oversees spaneting teams, manages departmental budgets, and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Support, Product Development, and the dealer network to drive effective spaneting programs and business growth. Essential Job Functions Develop and lead the company’s overall spaneting strategy to strengthen brand awareness, spanet position, and product demand across global spanets. Direct the planning and execution of integrated spaneting campaigns including digital spaneting, advertising, public relations, events, product launches, and promotional programs. Oversee the development and management of corporate branding, messaging, and positioning to ensure consistency across all communications and spaneting channels. Lead the development and execution of annual spaneting plans and budgets aligned with corporate sales objectives and strategic initiatives. Manage and mentor the spaneting organization including spaneting managers, communications specialists, digital spaneting personnel, and internal/external creative teams. Oversee corporate communications including executive messaging, press relations, media engagement, and crisis communications when required. Lead the development and execution of annual spaneting plans and budgets aligned with corporate sales objectives and strategic initiatives. Manage and mentor the spaneting organization including spaneting managers, communications specialists, digital spaneting personnel, and creative teams. Oversee corporate communications including executive messaging, press relations, media engagement, and crisis communications when required. Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to support aircraft launches, sales initiatives, customer events, and dealer spaneting programs. Establish metrics and analytics to evaluate spaneting effectiveness, customer engagement, and campaign performance, ensuring continuous improvement. Direct global event strategy including trade shows, industry events, product demonstrations, and dealer conferences. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and spanet opportunities to guide spaneting strategies and product positioning. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and key customer engagements. Ensure effective coordination of spaneting activities across departments to support customer experience initiatives, and sales programs. Other duties as assigned. |
Minimum Position Qualifications | To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required. Minimum 10 years of progressive spaneting experience, including leadership roles. Experience within aviation, aerospace, or other highly technical industries preferred. Proven experience developing and executing strategic spaneting plans that support revenue growth and brand development. Experience managing spaneting teams, budgets, and complex spaneting programs. Strong understanding of social media, digital spaneting, brand strategy, communications, and event spaneting. |
