Job Title: Sheet Metal Assembler in Cottonwood Falls, KSJob Description
Perform tasks such as drilling, reaming, riveting, fitting, countersinking, adjusting, finishing, and inspecting aircraft parts to ensure that all specifications are met. This role requires precision and attention to detail to maintain high standards in the assembly of sheet metal components.
Responsibilities
- Follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout & modification sheets, engineering orders, and verbal/written instructions.
- Interpret documents and instructions to determine the sequence and methods for assembling and repairing sheet metal products.
- Pull parts from inventory and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications.
- Clean components and load component parts onto jigs and fixtures.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of aircraft sheet metal assembly experience
- Proficiency in riveting, drilling, and using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with interpreting engineering orders and verbal/written instructions
- Ability to work with various types of sheet metal

Work Environment
The work schedule consists of 4/10s; Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm, with additional 10-hour days on Fridays. Up to 20-25 hours of overtime may be offered. Composite or steel-toe shoes are required, and no personal tools are needed as the company provides all necessary equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
