We are seeking a strategic and results driven cross functional leader responsible for leading all customer-facing, pre-contract award and pricing strategies in support of our growing rotorcraft MRO business. This strategic role integrates sales growth, spaneting, estimating, contracts, export compliance, new product integration and program management to create a cohesive effective front-end operation. The ideal candidate will have strong aerospace industry experience-preferably in rotary-wing MRO- with leadership skills to drive growth, operational readiness, and customer and regulatory satisfaction, as well as possess strong business acumen, and thinks outside the box.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth & Market Expansion
- Partner with VP of Business Development to drive growth strategies
- Drive MRO sales growth across domestic and international rotorcraft operators, OEMs and government agencies.
- Lead opportunity capture and pipeline development in support of bookings and revenue targets.
- Support customer engagement strategies, including program reviews, proposal development, and growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, and partners in the rotorcraft ecosystem.
- Responsible for building out of the annual, and strategic plan forecast focused on trending historical data, bookings, backlog, customer intel, and pricing.
Marketing & Branding
- Partner with Marketing to develop and execute spaneting strategies tailored to the rotorcraft afterspanet, including digital and print campaigns, website presence, and trade shows.
- Partner with Marketing to align spaneting messaging with MRO capabilities, certifications and differentiators.
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure consistent value propositions and positioning.
- Represent the company at rotorcraft and defense industry events to grow brand visibility.
Estimating & Proposal Development
- Lead estimating activities to generate accurate, and timely quotes and proposals, ensuring utilization of pricing strategies.
- Enhance proposal process and turnaround time targets to improve response effectiveness.
- Develop Business cases, and present to Sr. leadership for large proposals and new business initiatives
Contracts & Export Compliance
- Oversee contract review, negotiation, and approval to ensure favorable and compliant terms
- Ensure adherence to US Government export regulations (ITAR, EAR) and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and supply chain teams to mitigate risk and ensure contract performance.
New Product and Capability Integration
- Coordinate the integration of new rotorcraft platforms, components or service offerings into the MRO portfolio.
- Work with engineering, operations, and Sr. Leadership to validate capabilities, and develop pricing strategies.
- Support go-to spanet planning and technical sales enablement for MRO capabilities.
Program Management and Customer Service
- Lead program kickoff and early execution for newly awarded MRO contracts
- Ensure internal readiness and alignment on schedule, materials, compliance and reporting
- Work with customers on aging receivables, and assurance to contract performance obligations
- Develop Program Management tool kits, for risk analysis, program reviews both internal and external
- Ensure customer satisfaction on existing business
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business management, Engineering, or related field (PMP and MBA preferred)
- 8-10 + years of experience in rotorcraft, aerospace, or defense MRO
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory compliance environments (FAR, ITAR, EAR, AS9100, AS9110, EASA)
- Proven success leading cross-functional commercial initiatives
- Experience working with DOD, foreign military, and civilian rotorcraft fleets is a strong plus.
- Must be able to travel approx. 25 of the time.
- Knowledge of Rotorcraft and related dynamic components/systems.
- Sales growth experience
