Title: General Operator
Type: 12-month rolling contract
Pattern: 37 hrs/week on standard days

Morson is currently recruiting a General Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing client at their facility in Burnley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in sheet metal, aerospace, or a similar production environment. You will be part of a dedicated team, supporting key operations such as material preparation, part degreasing, cobot robot operation, sanding, and general logistics.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare sheet metal materials and parts to defined standards

Handle materials and support logistics within the sheet metal area

Operate within defined health & safety guidelines (including PPE and manual handling)

Use cobot robotic systems and sanding tools on various materials

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment with 5S principles

Ensure adherence to quality and production processes

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Essential Skills & Experience:

High level of manual dexterity and familiarity with tools/materials

Ability to read and follow work instructions and process documentation

Comfortable working in a controlled manufacturing environment

Proactive, accountable, and capable of working independently or in small teams
